COVID-19 Support across Oxfordshire
During this time OAB is still able to provide support for visually impaired people across Oxfordshire. Below are a few services and further contact details you may find helpful.
Regular Phone Calls
We are offering a regular friendly phone call from a volunteer, for those who may be feeling more isolated or for those who’d enjoy a chat. Contact us if you or someone you know would appreciate this.
Some of our social clubs are managing to meet over the phone, this is a chance to catch up and enjoy each other’s company from a distance. Contact us to find out more about groups in your area.
Social on Zoom
Our ActivEyes group is running a regular social every Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. This is being held on the Zoom platform. If you fancy joining in, please email ActivEyes@oxeyes.org.uk for further details. Alternatively, join the Facebook group (search for ActivEyes).
As we are all having to socially distance many people are using the internet to meet up, via platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, we can help you understand more about getting online and using the internet. Contact us to find out more.
You can still contact us for general information and advice regarding anything to do with visual impairment.
If you are struggling to get shopping, medication or need the dog taking out for a walk, we have compiled a list of useful numbers for organisations that can help.
