Oxford’s largest six-a-side football tournament took place on 22nd June at St Gregory the Great Catholic School from 10 – 7pm.  Organised by the Oxford Ambition Project, the event included 32 teams named from countries in this year’s World Cup.  The Oxford Ambition Project was set up five years ago to raise money for flood-stricken families in Pakistan.  Since then it has continued to hold an annual football tournament and has raised over £35,000 for various good causes.

This year Oxfordshire Association for the Blind was selected to receive the profits from the tournament.  Representatives from OAB attended during the day and Andrew Smith, MP for Oxford East, presented the trophies to the winners and runners-up. The event raised over £2,000 and we are extremely grateful to the Oxford Ambition Project for their support of our work.
