"Ben Allcock is trying to break the Mount Everest speed record of 8 hours and 10 minutes on an indoor climbing wall. Ben's self-imposed challenge is all to support Oxfordshire Association for the Blind, which has a long record of service for blind and visually impaired people that stretches back to 1877. There's no way I could have climbed Mount Everest and the "Seven Summits" as a blind person without a good foundation of skills. Those begin with good training in cane travel, computers, and Braille. So please support OAB to give blind people the ability to climb the mountains in their own lives.” Erik Weihenmayer
